  • Eating and Drinking Do not eat & drink anything for 2 hours before your appointment.
  • Bring somebody with you You may experience some loss of memory of event surrounding your treatment. It is important therefore that you be accompanied by a responsible person and under no circumstances should you drive or use public transport.
  • Have someone stay with you Arrange for someone to stay with you at home for 24 hours after the treatment.
On the day
  • Wear flat heeled shoes and loose warm clothing.
  • Inform the dentist of any changes in your health since your last appointment.
  • Bring any drugs or medicines (including inhalers) you may be taking.
  • Bring a case for any spectacles or contact lenses if worn.
  • Wear nail varnish it interferes with our monitoring equipment.
  • Wear make-up.
  • Wear earrings there is a major risk of damage to your earlobes.
After your treatment
For 24 hours:
  • Do not drive a motor vehicle or ride a bicycle.
  • Do not cook or operate machinery.
  • Do not make any important decisions or sign papers.
  • Do not drink alcohol.
  • Do not take sleeping tablets.
