Attending Appointments

Please contact the practice to reschedule your appointment if you have:

  • Been diagnosed with Covid 19 in the past 4 weeks
  • Any Covid related symptoms. These include flu-like symptoms, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, persistent dry cough, loss of taste or smell.
  • If you are awaiting a Covid test result.
  • If you have been asked to quarantine or self-isolate in the past 10 days.

Following the move in to step 4 of the governments lifting of restrictions, we as a practice will be keeping our current protocols in place to keep our staff and patients safe.

We will be asking all patients that enter the practice to wear a face covering, if you do not have one, we can provide one to you. If you opt to not wear a face covering, then access to the practice will be limited to your appointment only so no access to waiting or communal areas. In addition, we will require to take payment prior to your appointment, this is to minimise coming in to contact with any vulnerable patients.

The door to the practice will be locked, this is to prevent members of the public entering the building. On arriving at the practice please call us on 01246 232634. If you do not have a mobile phone, please alert our reception team to your arrival by waving at the window.

To reduce you encountering any other patients we would recommend you drive to your appointment with us and wait in your car upon arrival, a nurse will come and collect you from your car and take you directly to the surgery.

For patients arriving by foot or on public transport, we will endeavour to direct to you wait in our reception area if this is not full of patients. You may have to wait outside for a short period of time.

Measures we have introduced for your safety

  • The introduction of air sterilization systems to our waiting room and surgeries. This system removes 99.9999% of all respiratory viruses including Covid-19
  • Additional protective equipment 
  • Additional equipment to reduce the aerosol amount emitted during treatments
  • Increased appointment intervals and limited number of people in the practice
  • Created separate clinics for patients who are most vulnerable
  • A new process where you will be asked to wait safely outside the practice until we call you in
  • Technology that allows forms to be filled out on your phone before your appointment
  • All our surgeries are fully disinfected between appointments
  • Payment by card and contactless where possible when leaving the practice
